WOW! What a super busy week we have had, and it's only Tuesday! We've caught up on our Random Acts of Kindness, been visited by Mr. Penguin from the American Cookie Fundraiser, and saw a "cloud" created before our eyes!!! Things are only going to keep rolling as we get ready for Monster Math and Karate Reading (you will receive information on these things very SOON!). Please remember Parent Teacher Conferences are on MONDAY, Sept. 24th! Your time was listed in Tuesday folders, but if you can't remember - please write me a note! I look forward to conferencing with you all! Until then, check out how much fun learning can be!
Random Acts of Kindness
We created bookmarks for students to have when they come to the library. We gave these to Mrs. Rogers and explained what RAK's are to her! She was so excited! She said the 4th Grade Students would especially love these bookmarks, since they are reading big chapter books!
We gave boxes of Band-Aids to the School Nurse and PE Coaches as part of our RAK's as well. They were VERY grateful, considering they do not receive general supplies and must often buy these things with their own money.
On Monday, Mr. Penguin came by to feed all of his "baby penguins". Your child can earn a baby penguin by filling out the address cards sent home in last Tuesday's fundraiser packet. This fundraiser helps the office raise money to pay for things such as laminating film, copy machines, and copies!
We've been talking about weather for the past week. Today we talked about all the different types of clouds. To end our cloud discussion we watched a "cloud" form before our eyes! The kids are still probably trying to figure out what that cloud is made of!
Waiting in anticipation for the microwave to ding.
We opened the microwave and a cloud has formed!!!
Wondering what made that cloud!
Brieanna taking a closer look at the cloud!
Table 4 thinks the cloud smells like a bar of soap? Hmmm....
Enjoy the rest of your week!
